What appliances might need a WETT inspection?

Appliances inspected include wood stoves, pellet stoves, open and closed wood-burning fireplaces, flue pipes, fireplace inserts, chimneys, and combination wood/oil units.

Should I get a WETT inspection if my insurance provider or real estate agent hasn’t requested one?

If a WETT inspection isn’t required, in most cases it’s a better choice to have your chimney cleaned. Aero’s chimney sweeps come with a visual safety inspection to ensure that there are no glaring safety issues, which is sufficient if you haven’t been asked to provide a full written report!
